The Beach Haven Building Department is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
Inspections are done on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Please use the Inspection Request Form, in the “Resources” section on the right of this page, for all Building, Electrical, Plumbing, or Fire Inspections.
*For yearly and change of renter, rental property fire inspections call the Clerk’s Office*
Resale Inspections:
Resale inspections will be done on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons. The property must be unoccupied, alarm systems must be disabled, and dogs must be removed or crated.
Please bring the completed paperwork listed below, a check made out to the Borough of Beach Haven, and property access information to our office. The Deed Restriction form must be filed with the Ocean County Clerk’s Office in Toms River.
Resident Emergency Access Placards, of all non-condo property owners, must be present and visible, at the time of inspection, and left in the property, for the new owner.
