If you plan on renting out your residence during 2026, we recommend that you use the “Letter to Renters”, that we put together. It has important guidelines and tips to help keep Beach Haven residents and renters safer and informed over the busy and exciting summer season. The Neighborhood Watch Program takes place on Tuesday nights, from 6:00pm until 7:00pm, from June through September, in Borough Hall (use the Police Department entrance in the rear of the building to enter). All are welcome.
Umbrellas on the beach: Be advised only umbrellas without sides are permitted on Borough beaches, as per Borough code 55-9. Badge checkers, Beach Patrol, and Code Enforcement will ensure compliance with this rule.
Trash corrals are not permitted within the Borough right-of-way; they must be located to the side of the house. Please be aware that Code Enforcement is inspecting all sidewalks and trash corrals to ensure they comply with current regulations. Please refer to Borough code 176-12 for maintenance of sidewalks and Borough code 173-5 for trash corrals.

#1: Have your rental property inspected for smoke alarm/carbon monoxide alarm compliance with the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s office. To get to the OC Fire Marshal’s page CLICK HERE
#2: Once the inspection is completed, go to the new Rental Registration platform. You will enter your landlord registration information, submit proof of your fire inspection with the County and your current insurance declaration page for your rental property, and pay an administrative fee.
