Inspections are done on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Electric, Plumbing, & Fire Inspections are done on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Please use the Inspection Request Form, in the “Resources” section on the right of this page, for all Building, Electrical, Plumbing, or Fire Inspections.
Do not call the office for inspection results; the inspectors will leave stickers on site.
Due to reduced staffing; Inspection requests will not be accepted after 2:00pm
*For yearly and change of renter, rental property fire inspections call the Clerk’s Office*
Resale Inspections:
Resale inspections will be done on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons. The property must be unoccupied, alarm systems must be disabled, and dogs must be removed or crated. Please allow 2 weeks to schedule inspection.
Please bring the completed paperwork listed below, a check made out to the Borough of Beach Haven, and property access information to our office.
The Deed Restriction form must be filed with the Ocean County Clerk’s Office in Toms River.
Use the link below to schedule the Smoke/CO Alarm and Secondary Power Source Identification Inspection from the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s office.

Resident Emergency Access Placards, of all non-condo property owners, must be present and visible, at the time of inspection, and left in the property, for the new owner.
