BEACH TAXI SERVICE
IN SERVICE FROM MEMORIAL DAY UNTIL LABOR DAY ONLY
HOURS OF OPERATION:
- Morning pickups are scheduled between 10:30am until 1pm
- Afternoon beach pickups end at 4:30pm
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE SERVICE?
- Any physically challenged individual staying at a Beach Haven (12th Street to Nelson Ave. only) address.
- Children 4yrs. old or younger are prohibited from riding in the Taxi.
HOW CAN I SCHEDULE A PICK-UP OR DROP-OFF?
- Reservations must be made by 12am on the day that you would like to use the service. Reservations are scheduled online.
- Appointments are made on a first come, first served basis.
- Double booking, making more than one appointment on the same day, is not allowed.
- Cancellations: Same day cancellations MUST be made at least one (1) hour before your appointment. To cancel your appointment you must use the scheduling site.
- Temporary Suspension of Service: Double booking more than 3 times in 2 weeks, cancellations made within 1 hour of your appointment, or more than 3 cancellations in 2 weeks may result in temporary suspension of service.

HOW WILL PICK-UP WORK?
- Patrons will be picked up at their Beach Haven address. Please be patient, we have one Taxi traveling all of Beach Haven.
- Taxi accessible beaches include: Taylor Avenue, Centre St., Holyoke Ave., Nelson Ave. These are the only beaches available for drop-off under this program.
- Taxi crew members cannot load or unload beach equipment or transfer patrons in and out of the vehicle/chair. If additional assistance is needed, patrons should be accompanied by a caregiver.
- Please be packed and ready at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time (at home and at the beach).
- You may bring up to 2 family members.
- You will schedule your time to be picked up and taken home, with the Taxi driver, when you are dropped off at the beach.
IS THIS SERVICE FREE?
- Yes, it’s FREE, however, beach badges are required for all beach patrons that would normally require a badge.
WHAT HAPPENS IN BAD WEATHER?
- In the event of a storm or inclement weather, patrons will be notified via their provided contact information and beach pick-up arranged.
- Same day appointments may be canceled at the discretion of the Taxi driver, if the weather is questionable. You will be notified via your provided contact information.
