BOAT RAMP passes are available from the attendant at the ramp, Ninth St. and the bay. Passes are required from June 15 through September 15.
Daily pass $20.00
Weekly pass $75.00
Season pass $100.00
Commercial pass $250.00
The “Kids Don’t Float” program originated in Homer Alaska in 1996. The Homer Fire Department, with the assistance of several organizations established 15 life jacket loaner stations in communities around Kachemak Bay.  The stations housed life jackets that could be borrowed on the honor system by anyone in need.  The response to the program was extremely positive and has since been adopted by several state, local, and federal agencies.  READ MORE…
